Many things have been in development, so it’s time for an update. First, we’ve changed our name to HAX — what people have been calling us for a while now.
We’ve also increased the funding available for our accelerator startups up to $300,000.
Lastly, we’ve launched a 6-week program called ‘Boost’, which supports the growth of hardware startups in sales and distribution. This is part of our broader strategy to support hardware startups throughout their lifecycle.
Bridging the Gap for Hardware Success
Taking a hardware product to market historically has required millions of dollars. With the accelerator program and all the teams that have gone through it, we discovered the potential for hardware startups to become profitable quickly through the ‘right’ combination of funding and revenue.
With this insight, we increased our funding options from $100,000 to $300,000, with the addition of this extra $200,000 available as matching funds. We now offer the most funding worldwide to help create profitable hardware companies from scratch.
By the way, deadline for our 7th batch accelerator is right around the corner, so don’t forget to apply here.
HAX Boost is the first ecosystem-driven accelerator program designed for hardware startups to surpass sales targets in just 42 days. The intensive mentoring and sales development program will take place in San Francisco and HAX Founder Cyril Ebersweiler will be relocating in order to lead the program.
“HAX’s new strategy is to not only support startups to launch, but ensure they have the tools, resources and support in order to scale,” – Cyril Ebersweiler
Boost targets global startups with a product on the market, and brings them the critical resources needed to sell their products, maximize the number of global direct retail connections and help grow small businesses into viable companies with millions in revenue. Startups entering Boost join the HAX ecosystem, which provides unprecedented access to manufacturing and electronics partners. The first program will kick off in September 2015.
HAX continues to set the bar helping startups bring innovative hardware products to market.
This coming Monday, May 11, fifteen of our teams will be giving a demo of their cool products in San Francisco (we’re all making our way to San Francisco at the moment). To view the demos live, watch the livestream here.
Stay tuned, everyone.
