As a Computer Vision Software Engineer at RockMass, you will help with design, development, and implementation of core software functionality within our products.
Design and implement novel geological applications from dense point cloud and image data.
Improve the efficiency of processing LiDAR and other product sensor data.
Consult the hardware engineering team in making product-based decisions and suggestions.
Work with database framework and algorithms to produce new software features for end users.
Assist in the design and maintenance of backend software architecture.
Launch new software features for RockMass’s next hardware release.
Qualifications / Skills:
Resourceful and detail oriented.
Software development using C++ with STL and core principles such as RAII.
Software design and debugging.
Team player with strong communication skills.
Familiar with agile development methods.
Software development for Linux based hardware products.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor of Software Engineering, Computer Science, or other related fields.
Knowledge of State Estimation, Computer Vision, and Image Processing.
Experience working in a startup environment or small team.
2+ years of experience writing modern templated C++.
1+ years of experience handling computer vision libraries such as Eigen or PCL.
1+ years of experience with ROS.
1+ years of experience working in a startup or small company environments.
Nice to have:
Experience developing new features on embedded systems.
Experience using C and Python.
Strong understanding of Linux systems, utilities, and libraries.
Experience using Docker, Shell Scripting, CMake.
Experience integrating custom software systems with specialized hardware.
