Who We’re Looking For

ViaBot is looking for a passionate front end web engineer eager to be a part of the future of robotics and the way we interface with robotics-powered systems. They’ll be working with us full-time out of our Sunnyvale office, developing a variety of views for our property and robot management portal. Our ideal candidate is past plain, blocky interfaces of old; they'll be on top of the game of modern UI/UX design, be comfortable tinkering with scripted graphical elements, and won't be afraid to delve into new technologies as needs for them arise. More concretely, they'll be responsible for:

Implementing modern, intuitive, and responsive dashboard applications of varying purpose (from property management to security overview to internal diagnostics)
Displaying live information streamed from our robots using charts, graphs, and other robotics-specific visualization libraries (check out http://robotwebtools.org/tools.html)
Designing and implementing interactive graphical representations of physical locations, such as floor plans and outdoor maps
Role Qualifications

Requirements:

Demos of the cool stuff you've built! (This is super important to us)
B.S./M.S. in Computer Science or a related field
Must be able to work with a team and with minimal supervision
Must be able to take on responsibilities outside of job description
Must have work authorization in the United States
Must eventually be able to work from our HQ in the SF Bay Area
Recommended:

Experience developing web-based dashboards
Experience developing web-based interactive maps
Experience working in startups
Experience working with robotics
Experience working with IoT devices
Experience in coding competitions
Tech Experience

Required or Strongly Recommended:

Solid foundation in HTML/CSS/JavaScript
React expertise
D3 experience
HTML5 Canvas/WebGL/Scripted SVG experience
Recommended Experience:

MERN Stack (MongoDB, Express, React, Node.js)
Google Cloud Platform (GCP)/Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Docker
WebRTC
MQTT
Websockets/Socket.io
