Kate Whitcomb spent 4 years with Target Corporation, where she was responsible for over $500m in total product spend across the beauty, home goods and baby categories. Most recently. Kate was the Growth & Innovation Lead for Target’s Consumer IoT team in San Francisco, where she focused on preparing Bay Area hardware startups for retail distribution. Kate also spent time at the San Francisco-based e-commerce startup Joyus.com, where she launched a marketplace business and helped the company enter several new categories. Kate has spoken on the topic of working with big retailers extensively around San Francisco, and most recently at the Techstars Stage at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
Prior to her retail experience, Kate was a strategy consultant in Boston and London focusing on M&A transactions in the pharma, retail and entertainment industries.
