After moving around China and Japan during her childhood years, Miki settled in the U.S. for high school, then on to the University of Michigan for a degree in Business Administration. She was involved in the Entrepreneurship program at Michigan where she founded a small recycled-art business which she then sold. Prior to HAX, Miki spent 3 years as a consultant with McKinsey in Chicago, Tokyo and Ethiopia serving corporate and public sector clients on growth and innovation related topics.
Miki is trilingual, she speaks Japanese, Chinese and English. She is a Taekwondo Red-Black belt, snowboarder, surfer, and avid traveler.
