Adriana C. Vazeuqz Ortiz, Co-founder of Lilu (HAX 10), was announced today as a 2020 winner of the Anita Borg PitchHER competition.
In addition to Adriana, this year’s winners include Kai Frazer of Kai XR, Ionna Stanegloudi of Finclude, and Ty’lisha Summers of SpenDebt.
The annual contest is a pitch competition that brings together the leading female entrepreneurs at the Grace Hopper Celebration–the world’s largest gathering of women technologists–with the goal of supporting, encouraging, and providing new funding opportunities.
The top 10 finalists will also compete for a total of $100,000 in prize money–to be split among the top three finalists and an Audience Favorite.
Lilu is a HAX 2017 investment, that builds tech-enabled products to empower new moms. They’ve developed the first pumping bra with automated massage, which is available for sale today.
Adriana grew up in Mexico City, and is a graduate of MIT where she received a B.S. in Mathematics with Computer Science. She later pursued a Masters in Integrated Product Design at the University of Pennsylvania where she had the idea for Lilu. She lives in NYC, enjoys running and cycling, attempting to snowboard, has been a pescatarian for over a decade, and speaks four languages.
