5QXT develops proprietary “Quantum Extraction” (QX) processes to recover commercially valuable metals from industrial slags and other waste streams such as battery black mass. The approach leverages controlled corrosion and mass-transfer optimization to increase water solubility of target materials and produce multi-element solutions, reducing sulfuric acid, water, energy, and consumables compared with conventional hydrometallurgy, and avoiding high pressure and high temperature. 5QXT positions the technology as plug-and-play with existing processing plants and aims to deploy pilot and demo plants near large stockpiles to create new revenue from previously non-viable waste streams.
