Mesa Quantum Raises $11.8M to Advance Quantum Sensing
Kira Colburn

SOSV portfolio company, Mesa Quantum, spoke to Tectonic about their recent 11.8M raise led by Playground Global, bringing total funding to nearly $16M.

The company is developing next-generation, low cost, chip-scale atomic clocks that can seamlessly integrate into existing electronic boards. They do this through a quantum technology developed at the University of Colorado, Boulder, which is one of the world leading universities in Quantum technologies.

Their quantum sensors are small enough (and cheap enough) to go on things like drones. And they’re already working with U.S. government agencies, including SpaceWERX.

According to Co-Founder and CEO Sristy Agrawal, the company will use the funding to scale up development and production of its chip-scale quantum sensors, designed to secure everything from navigation to timing to synchronization without GPS.
