Smart lighting company Yeelight (HAX 02) has completed a Series C+ round led by China Everbright Limited and CITIC Goldstone Fund Management. While the financial details of the round were not released, former Yeelight investor Cathay Capital claimed that the startup raised a total of $28M combined in its Series C and C+ rounds.

Headquartered in China’s Qingdao city, Yeelight develops smart lighting products, including home lighting, atmosphere lighting, and table lighting, along with an intelligent control system. With AI and Bluetooth capabilities, Yeelight drew the attention of Xiaomi in 2014, becoming part of the Chinese smartphone maker’s eco-chain to design and build smart home products.

From this partnership, Yeelight’s products are compatible with a range of IoT smart home platforms, including Xiaomi Mijia, Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa, and Apple HomeKit. The startup has already shipped 15 million products to more than 110 countries globally.

With the capital from the C+, Yeelight plans to develop new lighting products, expand its sales and service departments, and increase its talent training.
