Project K is an early-stage, hard-tech, energy-resilience startup developing potassium-ion batteries for sovereign stationary energy storage and fast charing electric vehicles while eliminating the rare and expensive elements lithium, cobalt, nickel, and copper. Our technology addresses the 50B USD per year market (2030 projected) for LFP batteries. We are a team of materials scientists and electrochemical engineers with decades of combined experience in developing next-generation batteries, advised by leaders in the energy-storage industry, and supported in part by US DOE’s ARPA-E, the California Energy Commission, and SOSV/HAX.
